Collaborating with the Meta Quest developers, tactile material qualities were explored to give the screens a physical presence, as if they really existed in our environments. We explored how the screens might illuminate the space, or accept reflections and color from its surroundings. The bezel, back of the screens, and the level of transparency of the screens were qualities that could change in response to user interaction. The screens were envisioned as glass panes with frosted back panels of varying opacity dependent on viewing angles.
